Year Two
The second year explores global national cinema (Brazil and Spain), differing film forms (documentary) and film movements (experimental and silent). This broad syllabus allows you to develop a 'synoptic' approach to Component 2 in which you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge developed in the first year, to the varied texts of the second.

Discipline & Determination
The second year is focused on exploring different texts, which will expand your understanding of film as an art form. While you only have 5 set texts this year, you will also be revisiting your NEA portfolio and applying your maturing understanding to the Production. With 2 two-hour exams at the end of the year, most of your ISAs will include working on past papers and developing your exam skills. Is advised that you start revising for your exams as soon as the second year begins, as they come around very quickly!
